The decision on your Naturalization depends on which right of residence you have. There are many Residence permit with which the application for Naturalization will not work. You will then have a problem. A decisive requirement for the Naturalization is not met. Here is a list of Residence permit with which your application will not work:

§ Sections 16a, 16b, 16d, 16e, 16f, 17, 18d, 18f, 19, 19b, 19e, 20, 22, 23(1), Sections 23a, 24, 25(3) to (5) of the Residence Act

If you have one of the aforementioned residence rights, you must first change Residence permit in order to be naturalized. If the change to a residence permit according to § 10 StAG Residence permit has been successful, then naturalization is Naturalization possible if all other conditions are met.
