New ruling: No national passport required for refugees from Eritrea!

A new ruling has a major impact for refugees from Eritrea. In this video you will learn how the identity of refugees from Eritrea can be clarified! In October 2022, there was a new ruling in which people from Eritrea, for example, can be naturalized without a national passport and therefore do not have to sign a declaration of repentance.

The new ruling by the Federal Administrative Court in October 2022 stipulates that the identity of Eritrean citizens is also clarified if they do not have a valid national passport.

For the Naturalization or the Settlement permit a Clarification of identity is required in each case. The problem here is that many refugees from Eritrea do not have a valid national passport and have to take a step that is considered unreasonable by Germany.

The Eritrean embassy requires the signing of a declaration of remorse. The declaration of remorse must state that leaving Eritrea is a criminal offense. A procedure that is not accepted by Germany. You can find out how the Clarification of identity works in this video!
