1.Advantage: You are a German citizen

With the Naturalization you can invoke the freedom of assembly under Article 8 of the Basic Law and take part in meetings and demonstrations. The only addition: no weapons may be carried or used. According to Article 9 of the Basic Law, you have the opportunity to participate or get involved in politics. This means that you can join a party or even found a party yourself and run for political office. As a German citizen, Naturalization gives you the right to vote in local, state and federal elections in Germany. This right is set out in § 12 of the Federal Elections Act. The decisive factor here is that you have reached the age of 18 in accordance with Article 38 of the Basic Law.
