Naturalization in Germany: How to get a German passport!

The video covers important information about Naturalization in Germany and the associated advantages and requirements. For many who have lived in Germany for some time, Naturalization is worth considering. Having a German passport offers numerous advantages, such as protection from deportation, unrestricted career choices, easier borrowing, planning security for the future and easier family reunification. In addition, visa-free travel to over 190 countries is possible.

However, in order to be naturalized, a number of requirements must be met: at least five years of legal residence in Germany, a suitable Residence permit, knowledge of German at B1 level, a secure income, no serious criminal offences and successful completion of the naturalization test. The application can now be submitted online in most cities and costs 255 euros for adults and 51 euros for children.

Processing times vary greatly: they can range from six months to several years, depending on the city. To avoid delays, the application should be submitted completely and properly. In the event of long waiting times, a Lawsuit for failure of act can be filed after three months to speed up the process.
