Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz calls for Naturalization !

Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz calls on citizens to take advantage of the easier opportunities offered by Naturalization in Germany. Anyone who speaks German, lives here and contributes to society should be given the opportunity to have a say in the country's future. The new Naturalization Act, which has come into force, shortens the period of residence until Naturalization to five years and even to three years in the case of good integration and a C1 language certificate. A major innovation is the introduction of dual citizenship, which makes it easier to acquire German citizenship without having to give up your previous citizenship. However, due to the increasing number of naturalization applications, processing times are expected to be significantly longer. It is therefore advisable to apply for naturalization as soon as possible to avoid long waiting times. In some cities, such as Berlin or Cologne, there are already restrictions on applications. Anyone who meets the requirements for Naturalization should check this and act soon in order to take advantage of the new regulations.
