Do you get the Naturalization with § 28 para. 1 no. 1?

In this video, we explain everything you need to know about Naturalization with Section 28 (1) No. 1. You will find out how and whether you can apply for German citizenship with this Residence permit and what you should pay attention to when applying.

28 para. 1 no. 1 AufenthG means that you have a German spouse or partner. With this Residence permit you can generally be naturalized. If you have been living in Germany for more than 3 years and have been married for 2 years and are not separated or divorced, then Naturalization will work for you after 3 years and you can be naturalized earlier than other foreigners.

It is important for your Naturalization that you fulfill all other requirements for the Naturalization naturalization. These include, for example, a successful naturalization test, a signed declaration of loyalty, clarification of your identity and a secure means of subsistence.
