Naturalization As an ex-Yugoslavian: Is that possible?

In this video you can find out exactly how the Naturalization works as an ex-Yugoslavian. Were you born in Bosnia, Serbia or another former Yugoslavian state that is not an EU member state and want to know how the Naturalization works? Here we explain exactly how the Naturalization works for you and which problems are particular to ex-Yugoslavians at Naturalization .

In principle, Naturalization is not a problem as an ex-Yugoslavian. The decisive factor is which Residence permit you have exactly and whether you can apply for Naturalization with your right of residence.

The biggest problem for ex-Yugoslavians with the Naturalization is Clarification of identity. A valid national passport is always required, and if this cannot be obtained, you must prove that it is objectively impossible or subjectively unreasonable to obtain a national passport. The more documents you have to prove this, the better it is for you.

Also pay attention to the other conditions for Naturalization. These include a B1 certificate, a successful naturalization test or legal residence in Germany for 8 years. Orientation for the requirements of Naturalization is the § 10 StAG.
